This year has certainly gone by fast! I have enjoyed teaching my fabulous students and they have become a part of my school family. I am looking forward to seeing them next year as they journey through the 8th grade and prepare to transition to high school.
This week we have many off-core activities. I will not be meeting with some of my students until Thursday. With that said, I will continue to teach throughout the week, as follows:
Monday classes: Review of machines, how the help us and make work seem easier.
Tuesday classes: Continue machines.
Wednesday: Class Trip
Thursday Classes: Fan Cars and calculating speed.
Friday Classes: Current Science Magazine.

* Present rubrics for the lab and graph portions of the the exam. Tomorrow we will take the lab portion of the test. Students will be graded on an individual basis.

Part one of unit test. Today you will be asked to preform a lab. You will need to setup equipment and preform an experiment. You will be graded on your participation and understanding.
After completing the test begin Lesson 11, "The Inclined Plane", page 100.

Part two of the test, graphing. Follow the directions carefully. Be sure to use a best fit line, label each axis and plot points.
After you finish your test, continue work on Lesson 11, "The Inclined Plane".

Part three of the unit test. This part consists of 7 multiple choice questions and 3 essays. Remember to answer in full sentences and explain your answers.

Please be aware that the test in Lessons 1 - 9 will be given on May 18,19 and 20th. Please study your concept sheets, notes and text. Begin reviewing this week. We will have a student lead review this Thursday and Friday. Each lesson will be presented by assigned groups.

Science Pace Sheet Week 4/11
Just a reminder to all students and their parents. Progress reports were give out last Thursday 3/7. They need to be signed and returned no later than 3/11. Progress reports are out soon and I want to be sure everyone is up to date with the pace sheets. Students may come in any morning or at lunch to catch up or receive extra help. Please be sure to get a pass ahead of time!
